• HELP - Does Anyone Have a Phone Charger?

One of the great frustrations is when you run out of charge on your device. This is made far worse when you are on holiday, travelling or stuck in the middle of nowhere in a broken-down car. Fear not, as launched at the Consumer Electronics Show (2011) in Las Vegas, the nPower PEG, may have the answer. This gadget captures the kinetic energy that you have built up whilst on the move and transfers it to your Mobile Phone or other portable device. According to their site, “It’s the world’s first passive kinetic energy charger for hand-held electronics." The website for this device could do with more universal content than it has. After all, the device is amazing and is all about vibrancy and movement, so why have such a static site? It is clean and simple to use and Google will be a fan of the site architecture but we felt that the motion was missing in this site.  Regardless to this, the device is superb and perfect for anyone looking to leave the home (or power point) for any length of time.

And just a note: Using kinetic energy like this has been a feature for watches as far back as the 1980’s with companies such as Seiko launching the AGM at the Basel Fair, in 1986.
